Featured in Country Living Magazine

I have been an avid reader (and collector - I can't throw them away!) of Country Living magazine for 25 years now, so I was thrilled when they asked to feature some of my stationery.

I sent samples of various items including tags, postcards and wedding stationery and let them decide which to feature. They chose one of my pink Hydrangea vintage wedding invitations which consists of a handmade layered invitation finished with vintage style seambinding ribbon which is presented inside a decorative pocket featuring one of my illustrations which are unique to Claryce Design.

As with everything Country Living does, my items are beautifully presented within their Emporium pages which have various items in pretty blue, green and pink pastel colours; including pottery, clothing, plants and shoes.

As it happens they have also shown one of my 100% recycled postcards inside a lovely pastel photo frame by another company.

I have just been asked by a wedding magazine to feature some of my save the date postcards, so if that does happen, I will be sure to post details.

Press Features

It has been an exciting couple of months with the event of my first press features :)

I was featured in September's issue of Country Homes and Interiors which might still be on the shelves if you want to go and have a browse. There was a lovely mention of me on the Editor's page with a photo of my Vintage Roses postcards and a sweet note from the Editor with a link to my website.

I got quite a few orders (presumably from this feature) so it was as lucrative as it was flattering :)

I am also being featured in Perfect Wedding next month (should be on newstands already). I have yet to pick up my own copy but I was kindly sent this picture of how the feature appears in the magazine. I can't wait to see it in the flesh. It seems that my Vintage Magnolia save the date tags are a great buy for the budget conscious bride :)

Finally, I am being featured again in Country Homes and Interiors in November, so watch this space.....

I am not very good at this blogging lark, so please bear with me. Once I get around to posting it is plain sailing. It is the getting around to it that is the problem!

This being my first post, I shall begin by telling you a little bit about myself - that way the posts can only get more interesting! I am a single mum in my mid 40's. I have two teenage daughters who bring to my life a mixture of immense enjoyment and incredible frustration. Thankfully the former usually outweighs the latter!

I live in Sheffield, grew up in north London and spent 14 years in Boston (USA) somewhere in the middle.

Claryce Design began as a hobby. I started making handmade gift cards using the wonderful assortment of papers, cards, rubber stamps and embellishments available through the company Stampin' Up. I then started looking for images, rather than stamps to use on the fronts of my cards. Then, quite by chance one day I discovered a software on my laptop that would allow me to create collage type images myself. The rest is history....

I now have a comprehensive collection of digital vintage ephemera that I add to constantly. Vintage postcards, letters, illustrations etc get mixed and matched to create my images. These images are then printed onto card and handfinished into gift tags, postcards and wedding stationery.

I love my work. I enjoy creating the vintage images, making them into stationery, photographing them and then sharing them with you.
